Storytellers rule the world

Sandra Whiting tells stories because stories are how people understand themselves, each other, and the world around them.

Her storytelling is rooted in lived experience and shaped by decades spent listening, observing, and working across communities, cultures, and institutions. She carries hundreds of stories drawn from real places and real lives: banks and boardrooms, playgrounds and prisons, churches and courtrooms, festivals and family kitchens. Each story is chosen with care and shaped for the moment and the people in the room.

Sandra does not tell stories to entertain alone. She tells stories to create connection, reflection, and recognition. When people hear a story that mirrors their own experience, something shifts. They listen differently. They see differently. They begin to imagine what is possible.

Her work as a storyteller has reached thousands of children across Ontario, audiences at festivals across North America, and listeners in community spaces, institutions, and public forums. She has brought storytelling into libraries, schools, corporate settings, cultural events, and spaces where voices are often unheard. Wherever she speaks, the goal is the same: to make the room feel human, present, and connected.

What audiences take away from Sandra’s storytelling is not a lesson, but an experience. People leave with language for things they have felt but could not name. They leave with a deeper understanding of themselves and others. They leave reminded that their stories matter.

At the heart of Sandra’s storytelling is a simple belief she carries into every space: Yes, We All Can.

Stories, when told with honesty and care, help people believe that too.
